Deer creek whitetails

Thanks Jarrid, you are correct. He has a Gladiator son out of B-1. I seen him in person. He is very impressive for a yearling and no doubt will get huge next year if he stays healthy. Im just partial I guess. That Hydroax girl looks real nice! Did you breed her this year?

I have the mother of Ranger Xtreme here on my farm. She is a Max duaghter out of the famous Red 40 doe. We are selling choice fawn out of her bred to Ridge Ranger at the Buckeye auction. Ridge Ranger is Maxbo Ranger on Bucky/Heavy/Pebbles. These fawns will have some serious Flees vreeding top and bottom along with Max line breeding top and bottom.

Hey Jason,

Aother farmer will own the fawns out of our hydro-axe girl, he bred her to Max Factor...he takes fawns but we still own the doe. Her Gladiator daughter was live bred to Red Ridges "Hard Times".

I am going to break the ice with the upcoming Top 30 sale. I will give away one straw choice of "Fort Knox" or "Ranger Xtreme". If you stop by my booth and visit ,you must say you saw this offer on the deer forums, as this exclusive offer will not be advertised at the sale. I will put your name in the hat. After the sale , I will announce the winner. The reason for the criteria is because it both promotes attendance and it rewards those keeping up on this site! See ya there!

Thanks for looking, Jason & Kristy Savage

We were going to go but know with all this federal cwd crap comin down on us and not knowing whats next i believe we will pass on this one. Still have deer in Pa we cant get in from last years sales. I know alot of guys that are holding what they have untill this all plays out! Could be some great deals to be had with alot less bidders.

Well i finally had the time to put the names in a hat. The lucky winner is Clearview Whitetails, congrats Coby on your free straw. I had a great time at the Top 30 and wish everyone a great upcoming year!

I would like everyone to know that I'm selling a few select consignments at our state banquet/fundraiser this Saturday. This is the first opportunity to get semen from any buck I own or have owned! My bucks are looking great this year but one in particular is looking to be a special animal. It's too early to tell, but this deer is way bigger out of his head than any buck I have raised at any age! I will give u clue , he is coming two years old.

Well our semen market is definitely a tough one. I have learned that I need to do a better job at marketing. Educating the uneducated when it comes to genetics. The majority of our state has and continues to grow in that area but they as a whole have a long road to play catch up! This was the first and quite possibly the last state auction I will offer choice semen at. I had some dandy consignments I thought and with our borders closed figured they would be a premium. I will say though Kevin Grace had a few suggestions for me to consider, expanding in areas to promote the farm. The next two years should place me where EHD robbed me of two years ago. I look forward to the future as I will always live my passion of growing monster Whitetails. I thank all for reading my rant-Jason

Hey Jason,

Don't get to discouraged.....I noticed a lot of times at the State Fundraiser auctions the semen sales go for way less than what they would go for at a regular auction......I notice it is usually a different crowd for the most part at those auctions.....market him and market him some more.....Good luck and I wish you the best!! Hope he grows into a monster buck for you this year!!

Jason, I know first hand how you feel............But Like I'v told ya............Breed YOUR deer YOUR way!................Don't LOOK BACK...............Stay FOCUSED on YOUR GOALS...............You will Learn..............YOU can cover the "HYPE" with PRODUCTION! And that is ALL that MATTERS!

EVERYONE will eventually LEARN their on a "DEAD END ROAD" Trying to Catch A Ghost that CAN'T be caught!

Best of Luck!

Giving Semen to folks who will use it in a variety of lines will get you farther than EVER selling a straw! To folks who aren't interested in TRUE PRODUCTION!;)

Man these words are the smartest i have heard on here in weeks!

Thanks Dennis and Wayne for the comments. I understand that everyone must figure it all out on there own but I relatively had no help in untangeling the genetics puzzle. I am willing to help anyone who asks me of such info as I want the next guy to succeed. However I need to read some information on how to be a salesman..........THAT I'm not ! I've spent literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in this business and to get others to recognize what I've assembled here in our Bayou State over the last twelve years...........WELL ........That's what I've got to work on. I've somewhat concluded that if I prove what I have here...........Game Over

While I agree with you Richard I have seen a few deer hit the scene these past few years that are from really old school genetics and several several generations of personal breeding in them to combine and make a huge buck that folks go crazy over. Question: Why would someone use a buck that's first of all not proven and who's pedigree isn't tier d with top current name brand animals in them?

Answer: OUTCROSS

I believe ultimately when We flip through magazines were looking for a great looking deer initially and pedigree lastly! We look to see a rhythm in the pass down characteristics of this particular animals pedigree top and bottom. Thus it comes down to simply PRODUCTION for me. A calculated risk for possibly utilizing this animal in my breeding program.

I have seen old school lines produce consistantly and is underated..lines you can get cheap and make good money. And I have seen a lot of Hype flop year in and year out...Hype just cost the people who invest in them to lose money. .
