Zane, they are fine. They will make some happy hunters. Sure we all want the biggest bucks possible, but like you said, it is rewarding to have them survive to a marketable age.

I hear all the time, start with the best genes you can afford, but truth be told most of us find that after fence and barn and other start up bills rack up then it's hard to afford thousand dollar does. I started with cheap does, and Learned a lot on how to keep deer alive and healthy first of all.

It's Kind of like a college education, you pay the money for the education hoping to land a great job and make good money. Well, I started with "ok" genes, lost money, but it prepared me for the future when I upgraded my herd. I don't regret where I am at, and the things that happened to get me here. Bad expirences and good, I was able to learn my way through them. And I am still learning daily

I was just looking through the antler page we need to add a little color lol. This is Gonzo a very colorful pied 2yr old. Thos pic shows how much having black antlers make a difference. The pink side on any pied buck we've had just doesnt grow the same. With matching black sides he'd be a good looking pied 2yr old

Payday is looking great Sam! Do you have any pictures of Timberrock from the front? He looks like a monster from the back!

Sam, do you have website with all your bucks and their pedigrees?  Also interested if that site has semen you are selling and what the price is per straw.  Thanks

Sam,

Is the picture of payday on WTE from last year? If so,it's amazing that the look of his antlers could change that much.
