Introducing, NORTHEAST ESCALADE!


Posting this for fellow New York deer farmer Mario DeCosta from Northeast Whitetail. This is one of the prettiest deer I have seen.


He is a direct Bambi Escalde son out of a GB Geronimax doe. The bottom of the Geronimax doe is Lady. Lady is out of RDM Prancer and Babe. This deer is 3 years old.

You have any pictures.  i have semen for this year but i will be looking for next year after january.  i have a line of does that are two generations deep going back to double drop from navigator and 20/28 and super 727.  A good escalade son would look good on them.   They make very clean typical shooters.

HaHa Jack! I didn't say he was an Updraft son, but yes he is one of his sons. I was only posting the pic because Dirk doesn't use the website and I asked if I could post it for him. Dirk Stoltz in WI has been growing some fantastic bucks at his place. And yes he has bought does and semen from me over the years. Dirk is an honest guy and great to deal with.


I am not sure if this is the widest Updraft son or not. I think my personally grown on my farm widest son was 28" inside. This buck posted has him beat. There have been some other big boys as well, I just don't have permission to show their pics.


Updraft kinda was given a bad rap for his width due to being moved in March/April of the year he grew his 4th rack. That rack was not representative of his true genetic looks.


I actually sold Dirk the doe bred to Updraft that produced this buck posted above. I just sold a Poncho doe (and her fawn this year) who's maternal grandma is this bucks mother. I still have a doe that is double bred with this bucks mother. Pretty excited about her and I think I will be breeding her back to this buck next year.


Hope your doing awesome Jack! I still want to ride out and see your place once. Maybe next summer depending how things go. I want to do a bike trip to Washington state and down the coast to L.A. and then back to WI. I want to ride through the forest area along the northern coast and then down Hwy 1 along the ocean.

I have seen his other Updraft bucks pictures and they all look great.  We traded some elk semen and of course he gets his AI supplies  from me.  Updraft is making nice offspring.  I have a updraft daughter but remember my neighbors dog killed my buck fawns from Updraft.  My neighbor doesn't talk to me much anymore because he had to get rid of his dog or I was going to shoot it.

So you know Dirk then. That's awesome. Yes as impressive as his whitetail are doing his elk are just as or maybe even more impressive! He has incredible genetics and makes very good crosses.

Yes that sucks big time you lost your Updraft sons. Keep that daughter healthy. I only have one right now and due to numbers I might sell her. I do have a fawn daughter from her so that works. The Updraft doe had my biggest yearling this year but he died this fall. His sister one year younger is who I will keep. Jack I can't help you out with Updraft semen, but if you care to send a tank by me I will give you a straw of Downdraft to use. I have a couple of his yearling sons this fall that look nice. We will see what they do next summer. Let me know what you would like to do.

Yes remember the bull elk I had on here awhile back same type of bull Dirk has just a little longer on the g4's and 7x7 typical that is the bull we traded on it should give him a nice cross.  I took some semen from his old bull.  Bet we make some of the nicest bulls around working together as both bulls look alike.
