I would like to thank everyone for their support of the cervid industry and their national association. This is the event that funds our battles against those that are trying to take away our livelihood, supports animal health research for new vaccines and better test, and funds our lobbying throughout the nation for better rules and regulations and to develop new markets.
I look forward to seeing everyone in person (please don’t forget to reintroduce yourself, as my memory is getting shorter). We have almost 1000 members registered (walk-ins should push us well over) and over 225 booths in our trade show, but for those of you that are not able to attend this year’s event, please check out the links I am pasting below, for the sale catalog of donations for the NADeFA fundraiser. We will try to update it often with addendums that never arrived before the print deadline. For those that are planning on attending, take a look at the catalog on the web before you go so you can start planning your purchases, so you don’t miss out on a good deal as many of these genetics and items cannot be bought anywhere else!
As our association continues to grow, so does our annual conference. In an effort to keep the sale from running all night long we will be dividing up the sale into 4 parts. Sale "A" will run from 1 - 2 PM on Thursday, sale "B" will start at 7 PM, Sale "C" will run from 1 - 2 PM on Friday and sale "D" will start at 6:30 on Friday Night. This is a major change from past events, so please be patient with us, but also please support our efforts. We are going to try and keep the sale moving in a timely manner for both those in attendance and those that are watching online. For those that are not registered, watch for a fundraiser catalog in your mail by midweek.
Last year we moved many top items and sale lots to the silent auction. Many of us that attend other large events such as SCI, DSC and NRA have seen that the silent auction items get as much attention (sometimes more) than the live auction. In following with that same tradition we will once again be listing many high value lots on the silent auction. Now that the auction catalog is at the printer, we will be focusing on getting more detailed descriptions of the silent auction items and addendum sheets listed on the NADeFA website as well. Please give these items a lot of attention. Periodically we will list their prices on the DVAuction website so you can bid on them at home. Many of these items do not have to be picked up at the auction, but if you do wish to buy a physical item, and are willing to cover the shipping cost we can arrange shipping for you, or maybe find someone from your area that is willing to haul it home for you.
Please keep an eye on the NADeFA and DVAuction websites for updates. If you have not registered or made your hotel reservations please do, so we can have a more accurate food count. For more information www.nadefa.org or www.dvauction.com
