Really? I think we should be keeping that info on here. Just my opinion.

Not sure why we would keep them here? The auctions are not a secret? They also are public live events? Anyone can sign up for a catalog and attend or watch online? Just like announcements about auctions are not even put in members only forums and nor are the results??? Just put the results up on Facebook as a convenience...

I know that not everyone has a Facebook account so for that reason it would be nice for the info to be available on here. Otherwise many will never see the results or any announcements if they have to use Facebook.

I myself have Facebook but only allow certain people to be friends because I don't feel like sharing my posts with just everyone. I also don't "like" all sorts of pages because then my news feed becomes too cluttered up.

I completely understand what you are saying about clutter and junk this is our farm page not our personal pages! As far as not having Facebook you don't have to have it to see the post just click the link in our signature and scroll down YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE FACEBOOK TO SEE OUR FARM PAGE! Prices pretty dismal compared to what they have been the past.

Were there animals sold from a quarantined farm or two???? Last I looked a couple of the farms were quarantined late October, that was the last pa update on line.

Ezra. I don't have a page for my farm. I only run a personal Facebook page and I don't even use my name on it. I like to stay more incognito. LOL! I use it mainly to stay in touch with a handful of friends who happen to be deer people and then some friends I know from being in aviation all these years. And then a couple of family/friends. I meet people while working and then I always got friend requests. I got tired of it so now I use a made up name so I can't be found so easy. I keep thinking about deleting the account all together. But it is nice to stay in touch with friends.

The PA quarantine DOES NOT mean that all the farms listed on that can not sell deer. Most are individual animal quarantines!

Are those animals isolated from the rest of the herd? I thought if you didn't give up the animal they put your whole herd on quarantine not just the animal in question.

Thats how it works up here.  Not so sure on selling from hot farms.

If a single animal is quarantined in PA they do not have to be isolated. The deer can not be moved off the farm until she is off quarantine but you can sell fawns out of a quarantined mother. Nothing changes at all with the other deer that are on the farm, tbey can be sold to whomever.

Really?  Kinda defeats the purpose dont it. Different rules all over i guess. I was shut down for months because of deer out of Pa that i own and my whole farm was down.

Ha stole it from our farm page First lol.... didn't try and stir anything up by posting to Facebook, I figure every single connection we can make will only make us stronger as a whole.. I find myself pretty narrow minded and set in my ways at times so change really is a pain in my....

Gentleman after the BS I just went thru ! Dealing with Al Markegard on my sons deer purchase in Penn, I would advise not to purchase a animal from a farm or county under quarantine M Kwitowski
