Attached in the downloads is a 2nd preserve bill (SB404) introduced in Indiana. This is basically the same bill that IDEFA presented 2 years ago that Senator Long killed after it passed the house. One drawback is it does not grandfather in the original 12 preserves that were shut down. The ones that did not reopen were afraid that they would be held to the letter of the law and did not reopen after the injunction since their names were not on the injunction. If they were to reopen they would have to have 200 acres. I think most I have talked to agree that preserves should be a 100 acre minimum with adequate cover. The 200 acres came from the NRC committee when it was herd 2 years ago and had to be changed to that before they would let it go to the house. Since this exact bill was originally heard by the House it can start at the Senate then will have to go back to the house again(my understanding).
