3 legged breeder

last night we were moving a breeder into another penn and for some reason he got real spooked and jumped into the fence and landed on him back leg and broke it bad.The vet came out and we had to cut it off . Well he is up and looking O.K. Does anyone have a breeder with one back leg. and can he breed. We are thinking of holding off of the does for a month just to let it heal .

His breading days will be over. Most of the time they will try their hardest but can not balance and fall. Collect semen and ai this will probley be only chance of breeding with him.

I have a friend with a buck that has had his right rear leg removed. He bred 2 does last year, so it is possible he will still breed, but it is difficult.
