ok, I know that deer rut in the fall, fawn in the spring, get their antlers cut. That are the three very basics. What I'm wondering is, is there something in place like a basics calendar? Something that says "this week is time to AI, this week is antler cutting time, change feed for warmer weather this month"?

Yes, I think I am going senile and I need something like this. Or if there is a place I can get all this info, I can put it on my own calendar.

Thanks

Brian

You are now in a total different world then when you were in ny.The rut in texas is so much later in the year so you would'nt ai in nov like we do.The changing of feed might not even be an issue there as the weather is different. You need to meet up with some farmers in texas and pick their brain. There are some great farms and monster deer there so i dont think you would have a problem getting headed in the right direction. Good luck!!!

Smoking, I am in Valley Mills just north of Waco and I have done my Ai has early as Oct 10 and have not had a problem with it.
