Hello all,

I have written a letter/article that I will be posting to my FB page. It shows our side of the story. I intentionally kept it short and to my point. I am wanting a few people to read it and give me your thoughts. My hope is this can be shared and get out to the general public. I think I am on the right track. If you would like to read it and give feed back, let me know. I am sure it will not be a game changer, but opening up people's minds is a start. Just message me on here of on FB. Many of you are all ready on my friends list on FB.

Thanks in advance.

Great!  Any positive's at this point in time is sure not a bad thing.  More bad news on the CWD home front sure came at a bad time.

I have had quite a few people wanting to read this. To save time I will post it here. I am going revise it some and put it on Show Me Racks Facebook page. I encourage all of you to read it and leave comments. Anyone with a Facebook page, if you agree with it, please share it. You might be surprised how many people it could reach. If anyone knows how to pretty it up for FB so that it might catch peoples eyes, please let me know. I am personal sending it to my state Rep. I am sure he will share it with others. I will let you all now when it is posted. I feel every little bit of positive literature can help.

Brad, In the last line, I would not call them "our pets". Call them "our livestock". This gives the anti's, the preserve argument, that we are shooting tame deer. Just a thought

Gary

Trout are raised in ponds and fed until released into streams to be caught by people fishing. No one complains about that.

Roger that is a great point. Many discussions I've brought up this same logic. Many WI lakes are stocked with walleyes, trout, and even pan fish with superior genetics by our own DNR. Wonder if they test these fish for disease? Brad great piece, good effort and information!

Gary, good point, I changed that a little.

Roger, Good point. I was also going to mentioned states that stock pheasants with farm raised birds, but I had to leave it out. I have a lot more on my mind, but needed to leave a lot out. Maybe we should make some donation forms to donate to CWD live test research. We could send them to all the hunt clubs concerned with CWD.

Good article brad. Let us know when you post it so we can all share that around. There at the end I would definetly add about the stocked fish and birds.

In upper Michigan they introduced wolves from other states but were they tested before we got them.I don't think so. Our Great Lakes are stocked with  transplanted salmon the we eat and are never tested and the list goes on ! Good thinking Brad.

You can also add to the facts that some of the captive herds that where the CWD infected deer(Brakkes, Flees, MN Red deer herd) where found had been closed herds and hadn't gotten any animals from another farm for 10 years. According to their science this should lead anyone to believe it can and does occur from the wild surroundings and as the science has suggested, can also just spontaneously just show up.

The science and politics behind CWD are intimidating to me. I appreciate your courage to write this letter.Kind regards and good job!
