One of my does aborted yesterday, she was due in about 5 weeks. I needed to put her down 3 days ago to treat her for pneumonia. I darted her with 1 cc telazol, Then gave her 2 ccs of draxxin and 1 cc of dexamethasone. Does anyone think any of this could have caused her to abort. I was told by another deer farmer that this should be ok.

Probably more related to the pneumonia than anything else. I have darted/injected pregnant does with the same drugs multiple times, as late as April 20th, with no ill effects.

I would not knock the down just to treat for that. Couple darts would have done the trick if needed. Dex and stress will kill em Quick!
Had a pregnant doe limping yesterday...asked vet if ok to use BAM. He said no problem...just don't use Dex. Will abort.
Draxxin is about the easiest med to dart so I would skip the knocking down for that. I hate running my deer through the chute even when they are pregnant, but you got to do what you have to do.
