I have a deer with hoof rot anyone know what is the best anitibiotic to use for this. I did a seach on the web for hoofrot and come up with Tetracyline, Streptomycin & Penicillin..Need something that is going to hit hard and fast. What is everyone using out there now? I would be grateful for any input anyone has.

Lanasvet--thanks I have LA-200 but I don't think it is strong enough other than LA-200 which one can get get at Tractor Supply store?

Mike-thanks you jogged my memory --Nulfor is what I used before on this deer. I had all her records on my computor and it crashed so I lost all my records. From then on I just use written records. The same thing happened to the same deer about 4 yrs ago, since my computer crashed I lost what I did for it. Thanks for your input.

Nuflor is a second tier antibiotic, just like Excede, Draxxin... I listed the cheaper, easier to access ones first. See article also for further information. You should consider flossing between the deer's toes as often as you can too. Have a great day to all!

Dura-Pen.......10cc SQ loading dose on day 1 and 5cc dose on day 2-4. Be sure to add probiotics to feed during treatment.

Tetradure is my first choice. 5cc per 100 IM. Lasts 7 days. Also, regional perfusion( tourniquet leg for 10 min and give 2 cc naxcel in vein below the tourniquet and let set for 10 min, then remove tourniquet and give tetradure im
