Jody,

Conductor looks great - pretty frame for a big deer.

Come see me if you get time.

I saw you posted biggest typical in the country and thought id share some pics of one of our yearlings.. Hes not the widest yearling out there but that will come with time. We call him "Dude" he is a Maxbo/Rolex.......

I don't think I called him the biggest typical in the country..... but I want to see the largest typical yearling. I know it will be some time yet before the yearlings are scored but there has to be more than just a couple.

We had to cut rampage last week we were trying to hold off until he finished his beams but he couldnt hold his head up for more than a couple of minutes at a time. The stress was making him lose weight and come off his feed.Smallest mass measurements at base were 9 1/2" & 9", main beams were 34 1/2" and 34", Longest tine 14". Hard antler score was 480". Antlers weighed over 25 lbs with velvet. The damage on the side of his flyers is from him laying his head on the ground.

And his total mass was 60".

That is a great yearling man. He has some serious tines. You are right about his width, it will come with time. You should be very proud of him. Is he from La? I sure hope so!!

Bill, Maxin look alike is awesome. My personal opinon is, that you have some of the best 2 year old typicals ever raised in La. You have some great deer either way. I am so proud for La. to start producing big deer. It is a blessing to me and my family!

I just hope every deer farmer in La. is as excited as we are about finally getting our state recocognized.

Link to Maxin Look Alike @ 5 on Elam Woods Whitetails in Louisiana. He is around 400" and still growing. No semen has ever been sold on this buck. We are selling 15 straws in the north and 15 straws in Texas this year.

These pictures are still a lil old but they show him at a couple different angles.. You here it time and time again but to see this buck in person is a real jaw dropper!! Hes not the best scoring buck in the industry still 300+ but has the look that most folks I know say they want.... Plus he carries his head just fine and I dont think we'll have to knock him down due to over load!!!!

Now that is some serious tines

Here are some oictures of Maxin Alike. He was 368" Last year @ 5 when we had him scored @ NADEFA. He is lOOKING better than ever.He is the brother to Bill Holdmans Maxin Look Alike just a year older.
