Hi Everyone

We have a 3 1/2 month old Buck fawn, who in the last 24 - 48 hours has started to sneeze a little bit, we also noticed he is breathing out of his mouth. It just seems easier for him to breath with his mouth open. When he closes his mouth he seems to take a deep breath and open his mouth to breath. He is eating and drinking fine, no discharge from his nose at this time. Here in Ohio we have had some pretty big temperature swings in the last couple of weeks. This fawn is mother raised but we can get within 10 feet of him. Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated.

Weather changes can trigger a sudden onset of many different respiratory problems. Sounds like you have one going here. We have had success with a combination of Baytril/Banamine in some showing similar symptoms. Good luck.
