Anyone else feeding chaffhaye?

Thanks for clearing this up, because I thought it was mold also. I had started feeding it and it took my deer a little while to get used to it and seemed like they loved it. but then I saw the white that I to thought was mold and quit using it. If you keep this in the shed how long will it stay good for once you open the bag?

I also tried putting it in the freezer and that seemed to work pretty good also.

but again the suppliers may need to help out a little by letting us know if you see a little white stuff that its not mold. or maybe we need to know the differance between mold and yeast. hehehe

I called them and checked, they told me they will ship to IL but I would have to take 6 pallet's min order. I dont think I would need that much. If anyone would want to split a load let me know.

I'm going to start taking orders for chaffhaye since there is so much interest in it. I can have some sometime in may if anyone is interested let me know. I can sell it off my farm for 12.50 a bag this year. I am willing to deliver but obviously the cost will depend on the distance and amount you want. If I have to deliver would like to deliver at least a pallet which is 40 bags. If forty bags is more than you want let me know I'll work with ya. Thanks

I'm sure you'll notice my price is higher than my earlier post. That because that was last years product witch I am sold out of now. It's 12.50 this year because like everything else my dealer price went up(due to fuel costs mainly)and the fact that it's a great product and they are sold out right now until may. Just didn't want anyone to think I was price gouging:)) if I can get enough orders its save money for everyone. Thanks

I just bought a few bag's to give it a try, so far on day one the deer are not to interested. They have been on good alfalfa hay, will it take them a while to switch over.

It shouldn't take them long but in all honesty they probably wont eat much right now. The reason being is all the fresh new growth. Mine usually dont really eat much once the clover and grass in their pens starts growing. Just cant get any fresher than that:) but in the fall when your pens start dying off they will eat it like crazy.
