I might be interested. What cuts are available and how much per pound? Also what is the minimum order?

I have to bring in about 6 elk...so there will be lots of prime cuts available! If I knew in advance...I could get it cut however you'd like it. I only need the trim. It would be ideal to find someone who sells meat and wanted all of it. Then I wouldn't have to worry about shipping to a bunch of different people...etc.... The price on prime cuts can be anywhere from $5/lb to $20+/lb for tenderloin...

This might sound strange but I have only ate elk meat twice in my whole life. Not because I don't like it but I guess I just never was exposed to it.Once several years ago an old boss of mine invited us to his place and he prepared some elk he had got hunting. It was ok but it didn't seem great to us. Very possible the way it was prepared though.

Last month while on a layover in Germany I went with the rest of the crew to a little place to eat and I had the elk. It was AWESOME! It came with red cabbage and some kind of little tiny potatoes. WOW is all I can say! It was a little pricey though. My meal with 2 beverages cost me like 35.oo Euros which would be about $46.oo U.S. dollars.

The next time I am there I would like to try the horse I think. But that meal would be about 45 or 50 Euros. (About $55 to $60 U.S. dollars) I will have to be really hungry to pay that much;)

Horse? Wow...I'm not sure I could do that! I'm sure the first time you tried elk it was the preparation that made it not so great! It doesn't get much better than elk! You can't get much healthier meat than elk either! Bonus!!

I have always wanted to try horse meat. We are somewhat limited in the states as to what we can eat. Unless you own a horse yourself. But you had better not get caught doing that. I wonder how similar zebra is to horse. I know you can hunt those in Texas. Im sure its probably as close as I could get in the US. Maybe I will do that next year.
