Last night we were Saints fans and in a couple of weeks we will again be fans.
I will say though no matter who would have won last night, that was a true playoff game. No blow outs, both teams keeping it close. It was fun to watch.
Not too many guys that can throw against there body and throw left while moving right. If you do that in the Pro's NFL will stand fo "Not For Long". He didn't make a mistake like that all season. I watched the NFC Championship last Thursday of the Giants/Packers at Lambeau. The pass reminded me a little bit of the pass he threw in overtime two years ago. It reminded me more of the Gary Anderson's (who didn't miss one kick all season) missed field goal that would of iced the NFC Championship in 1998.
Only time will tell if the window of opportunity for Brett and the Vikings is closed. The only thing worse is the weather. I would have liked to have seen the emotions in a sports bar in Green Bay right after he threw that pass. That would have been priceless. I still think that 1998 hurt more since any championship this year would have been forever tainted by Brett's presence. Kind of like the asterick next to Barry Bonds in the record books. GO COLTS!
Funny how people think the last turnover lost the game when it really was the first two. How do you know when the Vikes finally win the Super Bowl ??....when hell freezes over!!
I will know when the Vikings won the Superbowl. That is the day after the game when the people at the cemetary dig up my grave and flip my body over so I will rest in eternity laying on my back. Did I mention that the only two NFL teams to play in more playoff games than the Vikings is the Cowboys and the Steelers. Both these teams I believe have a Superbowl win on their resume.
All I gots to say is......................WHO DAT?!!!! I LOVE my boys in Black & Gold - it's a New Orleans Saints Super Bowl!! Whoooooooooo Dat Baby?! I have waited FOREVER for this!!!!
Congratulations. You deserve it after 13 straight wins to start the season. I was tired of the radio stations in MN saying WHO DAT last week. Now all they talk about is Favre.
Well, I'm sorry too say this but I am quite tired of hearing about Favre. Instead of sports shows talking about the "real story" - Saints vs. Colts in SB - they are talking about Favre, Favre, Favre. I want to puke. It was a good game - nail biting, heart racing, knee knocking game - BUT IT'S OVER!!!!! Let's move on to the SUPER BOWL! I think all these sports shows are gaga over Favre - which is somewhat disturbing. I know he is a great - future Hall of Fame QB - but man, come on already - he is NOT GOD! Oh well, thanks for the congrats
Curtis, and Scott, that's funny!! I can't take much more. I've got my hat turned sideways laughing like a fool with my pants- well never mind you know what I mean. Allen
