i have a doe that is crapping liquid blood. i have tryed baytril and excede. i don't know if it ruptured something sunday running thru the drop chute.any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what is happening with her, but are you sure she is crapping blood or is she peeing blood?

Also what was it your ran her through the chute for? Standard vaccinations, one of the 3 steps involved with doing the A/I or what else?

Had you given any drugs at that time and if so what?

When did the blood start? Right after she came out of the chute, a day later, or what?

Has she has any fawns as of yet or is this her first year to breed?

yeah it was the 3rd step in a.i. didn't notice it until till yeasterday. she is my calmest deer and had no stress at all through the process. i am thinking it might be coccidiosis. i gave her a sulfa tablet earlier too. guess time will tell.

bad news. the doe died today. she definitely tore something up in side. sucks. but coming to realize this is part of the learning curve of raising deer. thanks for the help

Well that sucks. Sorry to hear this. I wish you would have called me though as I would like to have asked some questions to try and learn from your misfortune.

Have you cut her open to see where the bleeding was coming from?

to tell ya the truth its been a real busy day and opening day of rifle season is tomorrow. i feel confident it wasn't a bacteria or virus problem. it happened to be the most tame easiest going critter i had. but that is the business. i will be having her head sent off for cwd testing but as far as i am concerned she ruptured something internally.
