bottle raising fawns

We have two bottle feeders that about every other week get a loose stool...been using c&d antitoxin and they are over it within 24hrs....we use zoologic, no complaints, would like to try the pumpkin, but have a question.  Are you giving them a teaspoon each feeding daily or just once a day or only when you see the loose stool?  Thanks.

We have used just a pinch between two fingers once a day mixed into the milk bottle. It is easy to use, cheap and mixes well in the bottle of milk. You don't need to get fancy. Just buy a bottle at any store with a large vitamin and such section. If you can find capsule style so you just pull the capsule apart that is best. Otherwise just smash a pill using a couple big spoons.

When i open a can they get it in every bottle until they firm up and then i give everybody some once a day until the can is empty.  Will not hurt them for sure!

I just put a teaspoon of pumpkin in each bottle, thickens the milk some too. No problems, not even when I switch from milk replacer to red cap and back. Love that advice!! The fawns do too, they like it.

I am a licensed wildlife rehabber and when the pumpkin doesn't work to clear up the diarrhea I give them a dose of Diagel that I order from Amazon.  It works fast.  I dose based on weight.

So our 3 1/2 week old fawn has had very loose stool the past two mornings and I have been giving her pumpkin in her bottle for 24hrs now it looks a little less runny but not firmed up like normal for her, will the diagel help with it? She's still very active eating well and everything like normal and she's trying to chew everything up in site especially if she can get my shirt or something like that.
