Looks like there were alot of no sales. Also the deer that sold didn't bring much. I might be wrong but it looks like a buyers market for sure

Buyers market for sure. Alot of good prices great job anyone who jumped in there and got good pricing. And thanks to all the sellers for letting those good lots go.

Sure. Lot 58 White 41 Sunny Jr/Reno-Sunny doe live bred to Harry Ranger Maxbo Ranger/Harry-Poncho's sister I over looked her until two lots before she sold. This doe has serious production in her and brings Ranger and Flees on the fawns. Thanks to Levi Weaver for selling her.

Second one was lot 70 Sierra MaxThrust/Kasey doe live bred to DOWNDRAFT. As most know by now we have acquired 1/2 interest in Downdraft and these will be some of the first fawns out of him. Pebbles 7x, Poncho 6x, Bucky 3x, Bucky Jr 2x. SERIOUS FLEES with a little MAXBO for a kicker. Thanks to Roger and Laurie for letting her go.

That was 2 of the best lots there. The weaver addition is very nice. That's a doe that will fit in anywhere. Sierra is great so you can get some downdraft fawns on the growing this summer out of her. And with you stealing them, you should do well. Congrats

Thanks Richie We are excited about them both. They will fit our direction well. Now, if I can only talk Levi into keeping her and live breeding her to Ranger for me. WIN WIN WIN...lol

thanks for your time today mike and getting things stright. and again thanks for the 5 FREE STRAWS of down draft , OH MAN ROGER JUST TURNED THE AFTER BURNERS ON, LOL

I believe he had an antler infection early in the summer and i guess things went downhill from there..To bad to because kelly's farm is one of the first farms we visited and i dont think people realize the caliber of bucks grizzly is putting on the ground. It is a great loss for them but on a high note they have some great sons and daughters coming behind him!

Hasnt Don been pretty openly oppsosed to high fenced hunting?

This is a false idea promoted by those individuals who do not like the fact that I openly and candidly point out some of the dirty secrets of this industry as well as the crooked individulas behind those dirty secrets. In fact during the seminar I asked the deer farmers in the crowd to raise their hands and then asked those deer farmers who had never hunted behind a high fence to keep their hands in the air. I would estimate that at least 75% of the deer farmers in the crowd had never hunted behind a high fence .... yet my critics want to single me out for that while totally ignoring the real problems in the industry. It is deer farming politics at its finest; divert attention away from the real issues and real crooks and point it towards those with an opposing stance. In this case, divert attention away from the real crooks and try to twist things around in an effort to make someone else look like the bad guy. In regards to this issue, you will not want to miss my next column in Whitetail Heartbeat magazine. :)

As I watched the auction I thought it was soft as well but deer were moved, money traded hands, friendships forged. Lets not let a soft auction get us down, not every new car is a winner. Let move forward and keep pushing, it will get better. I myself even bid on several lots online but I had a set price and in all but one, I lost, I got one of the silent auctions, 2 straws and I was happy with that. I get excited at the prospect of having a chance to bid on some of these great animals and maybe even the chance to win some. There were some great buys at this auction and hopefully, some more great deer will come from it. This is just my perspective but then again, I get excited to watch a deer auction online or in person, this is an exciting business.
