With the ability to use both past and present sires.........What sires would YOU use that are PROVEN to pass on each characteristics listed ? What sires would you use to create YOUR...........DREAM BUCK?



1...Width

2...Mass (Blood Flow)

3...Beam Length

4...Drops (if you like them)

5...Tine Lenght

6...Brows

7...Frame



We are ONLY looking for genetics that are PROVEN to have the ability pass them on!:)

I should be interesting to see folks choices and also see how individual tastes vary.

Pa Geronimo produces great bucks and his does produce

Maxbo produces bucks..does not to good

Maxbo xl produces both great.

Shadow produces both great



Bucky is an all time great for both

If i was wanting to build my dream buck it would start with the does first..and you cannot beat pa Geronimo..so that's where i would start..then Bucky
 
I love the Goliath daughters. They produce Big, typical, HUGE bodied bucks no matter what buck you breed them to. I bought my first Goliath daughter and she has 7 bucks so far out of many different looking bucks, all over 200 at 2. She doesnt miss, so I bought her twin sister too! AND twin sisters daughter haha. Goliath stuff also mixes very well with Flees gentics. We are AI'ing the 3 of them to G36,Bart,Reggie this fall.



I also want to add Mr. Kerry from New York has a Gold Bucky Buck fawn coming next week out of one of them. Bucky,Goliath,Goliath,BJ WOWWW Put me down for semen out of him!
 
Everyone seems to be missing the point............I listed 7 things that YOU feel a DREAM BREEDER BUCK.............................Would have and the BUCKS that he would get these qaulities from............NOT any does!:p



Here would be my example:

1...Width.............Texas Tea......The line is bred for it!

2...Mass...............Maxbo XL........Seems to be consistant

3...Beam lenght......Sundowner........His sons in my in my area have them

4...Drops.......Not a big fan of them

5...Tines.......Maxbo Ranger..........Long pointed everytime!

6...Brows............Maxin..........Hands down!!!!!!

7...Frame..........Little Larry.........7x7 production or better every time!

Ok some times you just make me post on here.

Arty....... 33 inches inside.

Arty.......64 inches mass.

Arty....... 32 inch beams.

Arty....... over 15 inch 2's.

Arty........ Brows single almost 12 inches.

Arty....... Main frame 5x5 256 inches.



All in one buck.....
 
I have really not been in this game long enough to have a true answer but i would have to say i think my dream buck is alive and well standing in a pen in pa making his 2 year old rack. All i will say is if hannah hits with Bambi Yardstick like she did with Stickers he will have all of the above that you asked for and some to spare.



I'm glad to see that we bred with a few of the bucks some of you have listed. Arty fawns will be the first to hit the ground. She is due on the 17th but she looks as though she could drop them anytime!!!



Matt if that buck fawn turn's into something special you are more than welcome to as many straw's that you might need!!!
 
I like this one Wayne. A very good thought process just to post the question. I will certainly have to do some thinking, but I'm game at posting an answer. Thanks for keeping it interesting. I'll be back.

Mike, I was thinking the same thing! It seems anytime you ask someone why they breed their deer the way that they do ................Well I guess it's must be because they like the view they get from following everyone else? Or maybe they don''t really know?

Oh well I thought if folks gave some ideas of what they did folks could get some ideas of what the view from different farms perspective was from all over the country!

3...Beam Length - Maxbo and Lethal Weapon

4...Drops (if you like them) - Waylon, Sundowner, and Grand Canyon

5...Tine Lenght - RolexBy10...Hoping he passes on those 18 6/8 g2's

6...Brows - Waylon and Highway 10

7...Frame -Betting on New Image, but am bred VERY VERY VERY deep in the ole standbys ....HIGHROLLER and PA GERONIMO

OK.. Wayne , I didnt really want to tell everybody but who cares right?

1...Width /RENO,BJ,BUCKY,LEGEND... There are several more that r just as consistent.

2...Mass /AVALANCHE,HEAVY,DOC,XL...There are more but these are serious players

3...Beam length /HIGHROLLER,BUCKY,SUNDOWNER,PEPSI...This is a hard quality to nail down

4...Drops /Original PATRICK,SILVERKING/STORM,TOXIC SHOCK...I love drops !!!

5...Tine length /PA GERONIMO,SUNDANCE LINE,KINGPIN,CHARLIE,... These are just my prefered selections.

6...Brows / MAXIN,BUCKY,SUNDANCE LINE... These are consistant!!!

7...Frame /MARLIN,MAXBO LINE,BANSHEE,PEPSI,J_44,BOOMER,PEACH,...Ican probably go on forever Wayne!!! -Jason
