Yes, most of the time. Unfortunately, I saw a double drop tine buck when I was hunting 2 days ago, but he didn't have any up tines. Just main beams with a drop on each side. Decided to let him go. Maybe he will grow better next year.

That tear does not necessarily indicate a ripped out tag. They also tear their ears when fighting. Their ears get underneath their beams and between the bucks antlers they are fighting with and then get mashed and torn. Just sayin...
I have seen numerous bucks in the wild with torn ears. Of course, he is a little better than the ones I have seen. ;-)

Good Lord, That is an impressive animal. I wish i could get a photo of something over 100" on our property. Too much shooting going on around us, few bucks live to reach 2 years old.
Well I have been hunting a week now and have not seen hide nor hair of the old boy but I did see in yesterdays paper that I guy got a nice 16 point with bow just down from the farm they found his shed from last year he was 18 point they figure he scores in the 190 class pope and young this image is from our local paper
