OK this is not my week I have a doe put the cidr in her yesterday she has a whitish muckas in that area was wondering if this is normal or if i should pull the cidr this is my first year to Ai so any help would be great Thanks Nick

P.s am planning on giving her 10 cc of penicillin and 4 cc draxxin to help if it is a infection good idea or not?

Is the discharge clear, or is it completely white? It sounds like infection to me.

I would watch her really closely, I have AI'd for people who have left CIDR's in that were in similar condition. When I went to AI the does ****** was completely full of thick white/green mucus. Needless to say the doe did not take to AI. You may be able to stop the infection, if it worsens you may be better off just pulling the CIDR and giving PMSG at the same time you do the other does. Good luck!

I would agree....pull cidr give PMSG...and live breed her....oh yeah...giver antibiotics for sure!!

One of the problems that can be a big issue is the infection and it's affect on the doe. The infection causes a change in the body temp of the deer. Injecting her with antibiotics also causes body temp changes and issues. These changes in body temp can/will affect her conception rate. I would suggest NOT putting any high dollar semen in this doe, it may be a waste.
