We have a thin doe that isn't eating much grain, eats grass and loves peanuts the vet thought she may just be being picky however I am looking to see if anyone has experienced a deer that has ate hardware? When a cow eats hardware evedentially their ears get cold will a deer react the same? my husband had me feel her ears tonight when I was feeding her peanuts and they are very cold compared to our other deers ears. She also has a mucousy slim in he feces. Anyone got sugesstions?????

how old is she? First thing I would do is get a fecal sample to a vet asap. I little slimy poop is not that uncommon while on a bottle, but if she is an adult you've got a problem of some sort.
