I need to move a few doe's, they are due to fawn late May. Is it still ok to dart and move them without any risk to the unborn fawn's.

I agree, i would avoid it if possible. That being said if you have to move them, try not to get them excited any more than you have to, and put them in a pen that doesn't have other pregnant doe's in it. Pregnant doe's this close to fawning can get very territorial and can cause a lot of stress on new visiting doe's by bullying them. (chasing and kicking them) This could possibly cause them to abort.

I just moved 30 bred does overnight because those pens had shades and mostly dirt on the bottom . It hasnt rained in south texas for a long time and I am afraid the dusty wind my kill my fawns .So I relocated them to a pen close to my lake that has plenty of big trees and closer to the lake for freshness. I mixed 5cc of 333 to a bottle of telazol, darted them with 1cc. They all made it and are happy too . Its like they say .... Its all luck !!! Moving them .I know people that have moved them two weeks before they give birth... And made it alive. My does are due first of june .... Goodluck !!!!

RLA, If you have to move them then I would move them. I have tranquilized numerous pregnant does and have seen no ill results whatsoever. That being said, I would do it as quickly/swifly as possible and get them reversed pronto. Good Luck!
