one of our local deer farmers here darted his does with rompin yesterday and one of them could not walk good on her back legs and was deer this morning. Now he has a doe not getting up .

I'm don't use rompin so I don't know. he did give all the deer reverser 2 cc. and the rompin was 2 cc also.

Any help would be great

How cold is there Ed ? I have heard of folks having problems in cold temps and darting deer.

I like to give 2 1/2cc reverser when darting with 2 cc Cocktail

If they can get them inside out of the weather and give fluids

this weather will kill them if the rompun didn't

if you have something that is not worth anything then thats the only time I would use rompun by itself

Hey Ed,

When I dart in so-so weather like too hot or too cold, OR the deer were really wound up, I'll usually reverse with DOUBLE whatever the knockdown dose was, and they seem to recover very well, and very quick.

I have always doubled the reversal of tolazine with the telazol/rompin mixture and it's always worked for me regardless of the weather . I really don't tranq much as I'd rather use the chute when ever possible.

sad to say she didn't make it. I really sucks for this guy because he was a green horn and really didn't know. The guy who sold him the deer should not of let him do what he did at his own place. Thanks for the replys
