Does anyone know How the deer stomach is anatomically placed...which quadrants are on the right side

The Rumen,The Reticulum,The Omasum, or the The Abomasum??? I have a fawn here that is bloating on her right side upper and lower???

She has all her shots and boosters and no other fawn is having problems stool is good.

Thanks....

When they suffer it is something you never get used to.

When I went out to feed them at 9:30-10AM...She did not come up, she was always the first!!

I looked and she was laying in the grass head up, didn't look bad... ears alert, Then I seen her belly...I don't know how she was acting fine.

I tubed her gave C&D and Penicillin, Mylacon drops, Banamine, and baby Mylanta...

The front of Her stomach went down great. She looked good...

I Took her in the barn, out of the heat and sun. Her right upper and Lower belly swelled Huge... Very Tight.

I Took a 16 gage needle and decompressed, both went down great, Lots of air came out (This had to be repeated Two hours later).

All day I kept trying to stimulate her. I finally cathed her (REMBER A CATHERIZATION CAN'T BE DONE ON A MALE DEER) without possible damage.

She could not go,The toxin had already paralyzed her bladder and bowel the Vet said....Very Quick.

I decompressed her two times, I could tell there was Alot of fluid building up in her body. She got real wobbly and the pain increased greatly even though she was not bloated, she laid on the ground....and started the dreaded kicking. I was going to give her a shot to ended it, but it went very quick...So I just held her till she passed At 6:30PM :( DARN First bottle raised lost in Three years, since I started giving mine shots. I may have to look into adding Type A.

Aww BillieJoe I am soooo sorry. The part about you holding her until she passed really got me :( To witness the suffering of something so precious must be HORRIBLE! I don't want to go thru it, I would have to be medicated after. I will say a prayer for you.

BillieJo sorry for your loss. We've been there, its amazing how quick they can go from healthy to deceased from the bloating. This is one of the many reasons we started researching the probiotics. All we can do is try to learn from it. Here is some more info.
