Hello everyone,
I wasn't sure where to post this one. It isn't quite vendor related or deer information. So my apologies.
I just wanted to let Deer Tracking subscribers know that this Spring issue of Deer Tracking will be slightly delayed due to family health issues. Randy & I and the boys are fine, but my mother is going into the hospital for cancer surgery on March 1st and I will be with her for possibly 3 weeks depending on how she responds to the surgery. The doctors are very concerned for this operation as she has quit breathing on the operating table before due to many other health issues she presently faces. So they view it as a very serious operation (not that there are really minor operations). Your prayers that they find all the cancer and that she makes it through surgery would be appreciated.
We have been working as we are able up to now, but I have been away frequently to help her prepare for the upcoming recovery at her home and Randy has been trying to keep the home fires burning while keeping the trapline running as well. So we are behind a bit.
The plan: we hope to have everything formatted this weekend, our printshop will be working overtime on this for us and we hope to have it on the press Feb 28. The mailing will be delayed possibly till the middle to end of March (normally mailed out March 1st). I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause readers or advertisers. Thank you to those who have jumped in to ease our writing load for this issue.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call or email (over the past few weeks we apologize for those that we may have missed- please don't be too frustrated- keep trying till you catch us as we are not by the phone as often as usual with all the juggling. It is never a bother to talk to deer farmers!) I will attempt to contact anyone who is booked within this issue to round up ads etc (if you have them ready, please send them on over.)
Thanks for your understanding. Hoping to be back in full swing (less juggling) for the big summer issue!
Don't forget to attend that big NADeFA conference that we unfortunately will miss this year. Anyone care to be a roving reporter or take pictures?
