We had a doe this year that didn't take care of her buck fawns and ended up loosing them. Last year she had a single doe fawn and we removed it in 24 hrs. do you think that taking her first fawn from her caused her this year to not take care of them? The doe has always been a little hyper.

Just trying to think of the reason she wouldn't take care of them.

I am certian you taking her fawn last year had nothing to do with her not taking care of her fawns this year......not sure of the situation or set-up at your farm but there are several reasons she may have not taken care of them....but as far as you taking her fawn last year woud have nothing to do with her fawning this year.......I would be keeping a close eye on her this next season if you decide to keep her...she simply may just be a bad mom.........did she clean the fawns off when they were first born...did you ever see the fawns nursing from her?
