Doe with Droopy Ear.

My pet doe has a droopy ear that wast there this morning and showed up by lunch. She seems healthy otherwise, it seems to annoy her she shakes her head. but other than thant perfectly alert she is pooing and peeing and eating fine.

Any thoughts?

Let her go for a day or two, the last few times a had a deer do this they are back to normal the next day, it happens this time of year alot (if fact I had a doe with a droopy ear just last week) when they shed the guard hair at the edges of the ear, it falls down inside and gets itchy and stresses them a little. If she is not better in the next day or two treat her like it is an ear infections, some basic antibiotic, like 2cc of LA200 two days in a row.

If she's tame enough smell the inside of her ear to see if it's infected. If it's swollen inside you can use Dex topically to reduce pressure. Also, you might check for something foreign in the ear.

Thanks for the updates. it went away within a day or two I checked it and didn't see ore smell anything.
