EHD in Michigan

We have had a frost at the farm. We learned last year that a single light frost will not end EHD! If you can see a midge fly you are still at risk. Stay vigilant. We are getting closer to the end of season!!

Well here in Montana we should be done as we have had freezing temps and even snow so those midges should be dead. All around me in the wild deer EHD has killed thousands of whitetail. Not much out of the DNR telling about it, guess they don't want people to know. I did get a guardian from Wayne and feel that that helped very much as I only lost six deer when wild deer are killed in the 95% range. We hunt along the river and in the past would see 200 head a day. We set up a trail camera in one of our old hot spots for a week and only one doe had her picture taken. The stench of dead deer was about the only thing you could smell. But lets worry about CWD cause that is the real killer. LOL
