Starting Saturday, October 2, Wild Rivers Whitetails will be on the Pursuit channel. We will air at 7:30 PM EST and 6:30 PM CST. This will be the start of season 2 and have more on hunting since that is what we are doing right now. It won't be just hunting however, but how that fits into the big picture of Wild Rivers. We will also be offering season 1 on DVD. That is 13 episodes and includes things like planting our food plots, tagging and vaccinating fawns, fawn shelters, pests-parasites and predators, antler infections, dealing with flies, all sorts of things we do every day on the farm.

WE hope you enjoy it!!

Great to see you supporting our industry and doing a great thing by pushing the high fence hunts ........I hope it will be a great success not only for you but for the entire industry as a whole! Thanks!

We hope when all is said and done that folks learn about our industry and that other deerfarmers can pick up tips or ideas from the show. The more accepted our industry is the better for everyone.

Let us know what you think about the show!

Sorry about that - I must have been looking at the wrong calendar. It is Saturday night at 7:30 PM Eastern time, 6:30 PM central time.

wish you could get the show on versus I dont get the Chanel you will be on

will you be streaming live on line by chance?

Not that I am aware of - unless Pursuit does it themselves. Their website says if your cable provider doesn't have Pursuit to call them and request it. I've heard people do that and they were able to get it for a very small charge. Might be worth trying.

Pursuit is a relatively young channel and their prices are still in reach. Some of the other stations want mega money for time.

Send us your address at [email protected] and we'll tell you what to do.

Our video producer said the cost will be $49.99 and it will take about 4 weeks to get it ready to go. He has to take out the commercials etc. and then we have to get copies and packaging. I really think you will enjoy it and learn something from each episode. There just aren't many opportunities to see how other farms operate and what they do for different things. We appreciate your support.

If you caught the show last night you got an recap of the first season with clips from many of the episodes. It showed the various topics we covered during the first 13 weeks. We will continue to air at 6:30 central time on Saturday nights until at least the first of the year. Enjoy!

Just to let you know so that you are aware of this. Over on bowsite people are really hammering you about ballistic and high fence in general. I have tried to reason with those guys bf but I have got no where on other ocasions. Here is the link http://forums.bowsite.com/TF/bgforums/thread.cfm?threadid=401875&messages=57&forum=4 what you do about it is up to you I just figured I would let you know about it since it was not only directed at us as an industry but at you directly.

Jared it dont matter what the subject is on that site they are always gonna put somebody down, it dont matter if its high fence or rage broadheads or what a deer will score. That used to be a real good site until the last couple years. I talked to the guy that posted that thread and its amazing how much they change when they talked you one on one.

Sounds like a bunch of people that don't know what they are talking about. The comments about fencing in wild deer - that is illegal here - we have to make sure they are all out before the fence is closed. Obviously they have never tried high fence hunting either - like so many critics - they don't have a clue. We always find it interesting when we have a new hunter that is uneasy about high fence hunting - that disappears the first day. Ah - preconceived notions - not facts!!!!!

That's correct - they don't want facts. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and we knew having a buck like Ballistic we would be the brunt of some negative comments. I guess it would be interesting to know how many hunters would pass up a buck like that if he was standing in front of them!

Sounds like some folks are at least watching our TV show - good! They might learn something.

7:30 PM Eastern time, 6:30 PM central time, Saturday nights on Pursuit.

I agree that it's mostly a waste of time trying to reason with those guys. I also agree that not a single one of those guys would pass up Ballistic if he walked under their stand. The one thing that I would love to post on that site is the point about the scents...they all use them, guaranteed, and where do they think they come from? As Clearview said above, I think on a one on one basis, they could be more prone to allow some open minded discussions on the topics. Either way, no one can deny that Ballistic is an awesome buck!!!! I'm dying to see the TV Show, it's just not available on my cable provider. I'm sure I'll be buying the DVD set of the first season soon!!! Congrats Wild Rivers!!!

I have talked to foodplot many times on that site, but there is only bout 20 guys on that site that get on the threads about high fence. There are way more than that the pm me just to talk big deer. The good out ways the bad for sure. That Jack Harris called me a little bit ago wanting to how to manage the land where he hunts and how to get urine, since he thought the urine come out of the wild, so thats the mentallity that your dealing with.

Well, if Jack Harris was watching our TV show he'd learn something about managing the land and a lot more. There will be a show coming up about rubs and scrapes - different kinds of them and what they tell you for example. Stuff any hunter would want to know. In Season 1 we talked about the rut - when is it? People have all kinds of theories about the moon phases etc. We are here to tell you that charting when fawns are born for over 15 years tells you pretty definitely when the rut is - and guess what - it doesn't change.

Anyone interested in the season 1 DVD set - just get us either a check or credit card number for the $49.99 and we'll get it out to you as soon as we have them ready to go.

Todd, thanks for the compliments on Ballistic. We have been raising whitetail deer for over 15 years and put a lot into it - it is rewarding to raise a deer like him.

Hope you order our DVD set - we really think you will like it and pick up some tips along the way. We did this TV show the way we wanted to do - not by a formula others have used - so you won't see anything else like it on TV.
