I figure this is a long shot but I'm looking to buy fallow bucks and does that can be shipped to Wisconsin.
Back story: we started out with a herd of fallow from the beginning of opening Arrow Ridge Ranch. That herd has been closed and breeds naturally with no interference from us. That being said our racks have gotten smaller and more undesirable traits have shown up because of the inability to offset genetics.
I've been told to invest in setting up a breeding facility and do AI. If it wouldn't cost so much I'd consider it. Apparently because of Wisconsin's rules any cervid of any kind has to meet certain criteria to be allowed to be shipped into the state. Many places that breed Fallow outside our state do not need to have all the certifications Wisconsin requires. Thus making it difficult to find anyone that can sell and ship to our ranch.
This is my attempt to see if anyone knows someone or has a herd that meets WI requirements and has Fallow they would like to sell.
