As I posted earlier I am bottle feeding some of my fawns, the trouble is I have one that is eating his poop & the other fawns also, so he is by him self for now, has any one had this problem? if so how can I get him to stop? as soon as I turn him back in with the other fawns he gets the runs, it is like never ending. This has been one crazy yr. v_hedrick

Wow in all the years of raising deer this would be a new one to me. Never had a fawn doing that. I assume you have protein or feed pellets in the pen for him. And have you tried increasing how much milk it gets? Maybe add some extra probiotics to that bottle for added protection. Good luck.

Since his post said the fawn was eating his own poop I'd say in all my life I have never seen a deer lick his own butt.

You will see it all also.........In Time. Some longer than others but if you have not seen a deer lick itself and i guess if so inclined **** at the same time you are as green as shows.
