I have a 3-day-old fawn that has presented with blood in her stool. Since I've had her her stool has been a light brownish kind of putty somewhat on the runny side. She has not been eating on her own I have had to hold her head still while she suckles on the bottle for only a few seconds. She has been drinking about 12 oz a day and weighs about eight and a half pounds. I need to know what I should do immediately until I can get her stool tested. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated. I am having my husband pick up corid on his way home from work but not sure if this is the way to go.

If it is just a very small amount it is ok some newborns will have a small amount in their stool and as far as the putty consistency if it's like toothpaste it's normal as well for them
