I have had him for 5 days now. he has had diahrrea to the point its yellow and slimy.yesterday it went to dark brown but today it has gotten a little lighter again. he took a full bottle this morning but hasn't wanted to eat but an ounce it so later in the day.what can I give him other than electrolytes to help him.

I am going threw the same thing right now. You can mix a teaspoon of raw canned pumpkin in about 6-8 oz of milk and feed in bottle at each feeding. It seems to help. We have also resorted to giving 2cc orally of pepto bismol every 6 hours until it stops. I have collected a stool sample and wife is dropping off to vet this morning. Guess I need to rule out Coccidiosis or any thing along those lines.

a full bottle at one feeding is way to much for a fawn of that age. I would cut him back to maybe 6 ounce 3 times a day every 8 hours. Add a little canned raw pumpkin to the milk and have fresh dirt for it to eat off the floor. A stool sampe tested at the vet is highly recommended.

Ty guys very much! I will get pumpkin tomorrow. I believe he may be over eating. i have cut back on the amount he intakes and he seems to be more pepper up. I have dirt I ha e been giving him from day 1.
