fawn with dislocated hip????????

i have a girl some how got her left hind leg in the gate less than an hour after birth saw her be born left pen came back about 45 min later to check on mom and this girl is hung up in the gate wire very calm fawn just hanging there let me get her out no thrashig nothing put with mom pulled her and her 2 sisters next morning took to vet mon morning took x-rays he says take it off i thought little extreme talked him into pulling it up and tapeing it pulled up and back to keep it from moving around been 2 weeks mon. she's a real go getter gets around fine eats like a pig gonna leave taped another week just wondering you guy's thoughts or experience with this type injury do you think it will heal up ok ? or what let me know your thoughts thanks

You might get lucky on this one. Being so young it might heal better than anyone thinks. Never had that type of injury but, their body can do some serious healing. I would keep her activity to only a small area for sometime. I know with our horses we would limit the movement to keep them from further injury. Good luck with her and keep us all posted.
