I have a fawn with a crooked face [aka wry nose/ mouth syndrom].  Loves his bottle, and munches his clover, and we've had him hanging out with the other babies hoping he will learn to eat grain like they do.  I've tried sneaking feed in his mouth but he just spits it out.  Is there anything else to try to get him to eat grain.

Cut a larger hole in the nipple. Let feed soak in formula until sofT then put it all in the bottle when u feed him. Worked great for me when I did it last year. I also kept feed in the pen with him

Also I put deer feed into a blender and chopped it up to but in the formula when bottle feeding

He'll eat it when its his time. Just let it happen on it's own, one day you'll walk out and he'll be munching grain.

Thanks for the tips.  I'll try to soak the grain in his milk.  I'm sure he'll eventually eat on his own, I'd just like to see him grow a little more (though he is as cute as a button) and put some muscle on.
