Have a friend that has a doe that got gored buy a buck (the flank, hind quarter area ) about 5 weeks ago . Now she is getting thin , walking kinda stiff in the rearend , hump back , and a little stand offish . What should he do or give her . He said she is eating good .Thanks

I'd get a vet to come out and look her over. Something isn't right if she is stiff and loosing weight.

Jamie if you can get her by her self, or with one doe feed high on fat to her around 9.5. She need alot of energy, used rice brand or ground cold mill flaxseed top dress sourse of probiotics. Does she have a open wound.

What your describing should be seen by vet, if not possible then get antiobiotics, probiotics, anti inflammatory, and like steve said some high fat , protein to heip gain weight. Hope it works out for YA!!!

She does not have an open wound , it has healed over . It was about the size of a quarter , but know you can not even see it .

Also she will have to be darted if he has to give any shots - she may not make it through that ???? Think she needs nuflor or pinicillin ???

I would go what Matthew said and some of the others dart her with some antibiotics. I got a yearling buck that got gored he went down will quick but I got his weight back but his hip is out of place . He will never be the same he carry his leg and lost alot of mussel.

Dc that's unreal. Sometimes they're as tough as nails other times you look at them and they fall over dead.
