I have a buck fawn 3 weeks old. He has bumps on his ears. I thought it was from other ones chewing on his ears, but everyones ears get chewed on and no one else has these bumps. They are almost like scabs under the skin. He also has some patches of hair missing on his legs. They seem sensitive if he bumps his leg on something. It's down near his hooves mostly and some a little higher near his knees. His knees have hair on them so it's not wearing off when he stands up. He is healthy in every other way. Eats and plays fine. Has anyone seen anything like this and how would I treat it?

Sandy I would check for wood ticks.I just seen a rabbit and his ears were full of reddish brown bumps that were wood ticks. You may have to put him down to check.

Sandy ...I will have to look through my Stuff.

I remember reading and seeing picture...

I figured it out a few years ago.

Like milk pimples almost...On the ears nose...

Reading a lot is good, but makes it hard when you need to find something... ;)

I will work on it...case no one else has the answer...I think it may have been a virus...Hmmm

Sounds like red bugs. I don't know if you have them in the North but down here they are terrible in the straw if you don't burn. Sounds like she got in a bed of them.
