We have a four week old fawn that in the past week it has slowly lost its ability to stand. At this point my wife wants to put her down but I do not have the heart. She still eats well and makes all kinds of happy fawns noises as she enjoys her bottle. Yesterday she could at least stand today she can not get up. Any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

Wow wisdom sorry about yur fawn!!She seams kinda old to just start with the problem!!!How has she been? What are you feeding her?Is she goin potty fine?We had a lady up here that had water with alot of crystles in it and the fawns ended up not bein able to pee because they were gettin plugged up and they started by not bein able to stand!!

Do you give BO-SE at birth? if not try it now, worst case senario it does nothing. I had a 6 week fawns legs start to get weak, 2 doses of bo-se and week later there was no woble in his legs.

Andy, At 4 weeks I would use 1.5 cc sub Q. Hope this helps. Allen

Could this be fawn polio? I had a fawn last year, a little older but started walking dragging his feet. I didn't wait to see if it was going to get better or worse on it's own. I gave Thiamine, can't remember the dose. Whatever the vet told me. Check with your vet. He was somewhat better the next day. Gave a follow up shot a few days later. Took at least a week or more before he was back to normal.

Thank you all for you time and suggestions. I gave her .8 tenths of a CC and said a prayer. Tomorrow morning I will do the same
