to make a long story short I bought some sweet feed and fed it to our deer as I always did, and when it came to feeding the fallow there was a big clump of what was thought to be just feed and molassas,,,WELL let me tell you I noticed my buck getting thinner and thinner, really fast told better half I didnt know what was wrong and if we lost frosty I would be upset, well one day he came to the feeder and was grinding his jaw, I said Frosty please let momma look in your mouth and low and behold he opened his mouth, there I thought was maybe broken teeth or jaw and I knew I had to check this out, so without us having a dart gun or shoot to work him in I roped him by one horn after I got him worked into the baby pen and it took about 5 minutes to get him tied securely to a tree and then another 5 minutes to get the thing out of his teeth well the cause of this problem was a square type electric fence insulator one I NEVER have used, I was so teed that I took this matter up with the feed store, and told them about this as I didn't want this happening to anyone else, thank god it was my fallow buck instead of white tail as I know I would of never got them roped, but my question is this he will not let me near him at all and he has developed a infection now, is there any type of antibiotic that I can put on his feed?? as I mentioned he is really leary of me right now and I don't want to loose this guy I have posted some photos of him while he was tied up, I sure didn't want him to get loose
