I agree with Deerchaser! If money isn't an object however, you will have some beautiful animals to look at on your property!

I know a lot of folk who have deer just to "beautify" their property.


 


It was one of the things that surprised me with the "men who stare at deer" concept ( Its not gender bias, its just a fun name, women are welcome).  Many different people find deer valuable for many different reasons & who is to say one objective is above another. Deer are valuable for many reasons & I for one enjoy learning about those different values & reasons.

If you want them for viewing pleasure, go for it. However, the first thing you will learn how fast they multiply, so I recommend you should have a plan for the excess offspring. deer are very good at caring for themselves in a big habitat, but should also still get supplemental feed, and you should keep the population in check so they don't over browse the natural feed sources.
