Jhillierwhitetails, Mike purchased RJ from me and I offer him our 2 year interest free financing as we have with many of our 2011 sales. He had made 2 payments and collected RJ with my bucks at my farm. When RJ died it would be just wrong for me to consider this Mikes buck and him get hit with the loss. We never have and never will be selling dead deer off of our farms and stand behind our sales. RJ only produced a dozen straws during the collection for Mike so the value just was not even close for him to consider moving forward with the deal. I reimbursed Mike’s $600 first 2 payments with RJ semen so he could use him in his AI program. I then paid the bill for the collection and all the loss on the buck. So, in the long run we both are very disappointed at the lost potential but the dead buck is mine.
Virgil, I will give you a call but I think my 2 straws maybe sold already. I'm hoping to just cover some expenses and the feed I got in him.
