How many hours??

Pulling cidr's early am this morning. How many hours are most of you doing your A.I. after giving the injection. I have heard 55-60

At this time I plan to start A.I. at 56 hours and should finish by 56 1/2 hours. Any one think this is to early or should I be ok.

I have heard any where from 55 to 70 hours. The majority of people I know AI b/t 57 and 60 hours. I am breeding some deer for a friend in AL the week of thanksgiving. Last year we did 60 hours and had right around 70% at his farm. This year we are trying 57 hours. We shall see how that goes. I am also doing some deer for a friend in TX. Last year we were right around 61 hours. We had some bad semen that threw off our percentage. With it we were right around 40%. With out it we were 75%. Needless to say it wont be used again as we are sticking to guaranteed semen only. We are trying 58 hours this time. Should be fun to see how it works!

Pulled cidr's early this morning and all went well. I didnt clip the cords when I put them in and was a bit worried about that but didnt have a one pulled out by the other deer. So far so good.

I use 58 hours for the start and want to be done at 62 hours. Over the last 12 years I have tried 48 hours, 54 hours, 56 hours, 58 hours and really think 58 was the best for me. But they all did work, just felt 58 was the best.

It was a pleasure helping all the fellow deer breeders out with their AI supplies. Being the only deer farmer in this state it gives me a chance to talk deer so I have fun. Thanks for the business you sent my way.
