How your process goes

When you sell shooters what is the process that each farm takes. I know it will be different with each farm, wanting to know so maybe I can make some changes next year, everything went just fine with my transaction but might make changes in the future.

Sent pics to some preserves

Preserve called and said they wanted them but didn't want to pick them up till the end of Oct or 1st week in Nov

We agreed on price and I said I would supply the meds and do the darting(don't need them in the pens making the other deer go crazy)

They showed up on the date, I darted the deer and brought to trailer and they scored them, I was off a little on the rough score ( in their favor) but stayed with my price we had agreed on and they paid me the full amount before they left.

I know some get half down and rest when picked up

Some breeders don't want to do any of the darting saying they now belong to the preserve and don't want the chance of killing one.

Also for the preserves that have put half down and one of them dies before they show up, then what?

Just run me thru your process if you would and how many of you live load the bucks I have been giving this some thought

Thanks

I dart, load, and reverse. They give what ever else they want. once deer are all awake and ok they are their problem. It seems to be different every year so what ever deal you make make in advance and stick to it. Put it in writing that way there will be no misunderstandings.

Total agreement with Virgil.....Put it in writing! Even if you're selling to your brothers preserve, with no problems....you will always be covered and everybody is happy no matter what the outcome is!
