Thanks much Joe. I do GREATLY appreciate the good words and recognition of Updraft.

I wish I had more buck fawns than we do from Updraft. We have only 2 of them, and one isn't even mine:( But he belongs to a great whitetail operation. Cola Blanca.

Max Thrust had 2 yearlings this year and they are both very nice. Max Thrust will be a good producer, I can see it all ready.

Sorry missed that question. Now it makes sense didnt see that. :p

Sometimes I think Im blind.

Just wanted to extend an invitation to those of you out there traveling around to farms to stop by and see our place. We have some great deer and plenty of them - about 750!!!

We are about two hours north of Green Bay and about 2 hours from Flees if that is on your agenda. Give us a call or e-mail ahead since we have a few travel plans ourselves. Hope to meet some of you!!!

This guys left side is doing some cool things at the end

Max Thrust grows all the way through Aug each year, but I took a little bit of video of him last night and posted it on dabuckchannel for those who would like to see it.

Max Thrust is 3 years old and is a son of Maxbo on top, and a Flees Butkus/Magnum/Louie doe on the bottom side.

We have talked about selling him this year. If you are interested give me a call at 715-212-5640

I had heard that Freehawk had a womb brother but never had seen him until now. Thanks for the info!!

Roger, MaxThrust looks better in the video than the last pictures you posted. He reminds me of a larger version of Butkus when he was four, (the year after he had all the points and a double beam). One thing about Butkus is that he is out of Flees Magnum's womb sister and she throws width and mainframe points stacked right after each other. Butkus having Pretty Boy as a sire shoukl do this also which makes this buck and what he will pass extremely predictable. I would project MaxThrust to grow well into August just like Primetime at Fless. It will be interesting to see how similar they look when all is said and growing ceases. JOE

Thanks Joe. The video was a quick thing I threw together last night. I have to spend more time getting some footage of him. I just spend most of my time looking at Updraft:p

You are correct on your thoughts about him. When he was a yearling he had the same style of rack he is growing this year.(multiple stacked tines off the mainbeam) Last year at 2 years old he was more basic looking. My theory on that (and it is only a theory) is that he took so much from his skeletal system growing at one that at two he needed to back off on his antler growth some. Now his skeletal system is caught up and he is putting antler back on again.

His passdown is showing also like you mentioned. He only has 2 sons and both are multi-tined and looking really good. Again Updraft steals the show.:p

Roger, what ever happened to downdraft?

Downdraft has a really nice look to him. Last I looked at him he was 5x5 mainframe and had a single kicker off the right G2 I think it was, and a flyer off the left main beam around the G2 G3 area. Really long brow tines and putting on the main tine length. His tines lay out like Bucky's did. Wonder why?:p:p:p Could it be the way he is bred?:p:p:p

I know he would be better if he wasn't getting beat on all the time. I'm fixing those bullies though this fall. I am sending all the other bucks to the hunting ranch and only keeping Downdraft in there with this years 3 yearling bucks. I bet next year he is really nice.
