outthere, wv
Maybe its just me.. which is entirely possible.. but I let my jeffery free three days ago. He has done very well. He comes back in the morning when he sees or hears me out, wanting a bottle. I put out corn and some sweet feed way out back of my house and he walks with me and then stops somewhere eats from trees and grass then walk go back in the house. He looks back but thats it. No problem. same thing in the evening except I give him almost no bottle, down to about 6 oZ. In fact this morning he was with someother deer and they all ran away when I went out the door, :D and an hour later I happend to be out and here he came... so anyway I was looking at him and he is looking kinda thin.

Yesterday he took what i call a running 'fit' and he just started running around back and forth several times playing with the cat ect... he is eating grass I have seen his stools sense he has been out it is normal... but I think I can almost see ribs from one view. I dont feel any.. but Is it just that he is now getting way more exercise than he was and less bottles? should I do anything? should I ignore him if he is infact with other deer for sure???

sorry to keep asking dumb questions but I dont want this experience to be for nothing... but btw I did not worm him while I had him in...

thanks in advance... t

through the summer you are able to see ribs on almost all wild deer, once they start getting ready for winter they'll get their thicker winter coat and start fattening up. sounds like he is doing fine they love to run and jump around.

I would give him 1cc of Ivermectin Plus in the next bottle (just in case he has any type of parasites).

thanks ... he is looking some better but I will give him the Ivermectin just the same. I hope that he adapts well. some say that a bottle fed cant survive in the wild.. some say that is BS... I hope the former are right.

thanks
