Hey guys I have a gentleman that is wanting to open a Ranch in Kentucky I can not remember the rules for Kentucky. Can you bring deer into that state and take deer out ?
You've always been able to take deer out. Its my understanding that regulations for the importation of cervids into kentucky are comming soon. Must have five year cwd certification. For more details call (606)-367-3848
Is KY still trying to prevent the transportation of deer, elk and other species across their state? I traveled across KY yesterday and wondered about that. I was legal in the state of origin and the state of final destination but in the past, KY didn't care about that, they did not want them traveling across their state.
The kentucky department of fish and wildlife now know the difference between importation and transportation. I dont think there will be any more problems with transporting cervids across Kentucky.
