I'm new to this business and have never knocked down a deer before. I'm going to have to next week and need some advice on what to use and how much and also what to use to reverse it.
Isaac I always use 6 to 1 that is 6cc of Xylazine to 1 bottle ofTelazol n dart w/ 1n1/2cc unless the deer r wild than I use 2cc n reversal I use tolazine 1/4 cc more than I knock them down with 45 min. later

We use the following on ADULT deer
6cc Rompin to 1 bottle Telazol mixed at least 1 hour before we use it and we warm the dart up
Dart with 2cc dart
When down we give
6cc Ivormectin Plus Sub Q
6 cc Tetradure Sub Q
6cc Vitamin B 12 in the muscle of rump were white meets brown
2cc Banamine in the muscle
2cc Ehd vaccine
2cc Fuzo
We Reverse the animal just as soon as we are done with them rather its 5 min or 1 hour that we have been done with them!
We use 2 1/2 cc of Reverser
THIS IS ONLY WHAT WE DO AND WHAT HAS WORKED FOR US!!!!!!!

I would highly recommend BAM! Everything you need comes in a kit including detailed instructions.

I would also recommend BAM, I will never use Rompin/Telezol except for collecting bucks. So much easier on the deer.
I personally will never use Rompum/Telezol EVER again, BAM is the only way to go. I've never seen anyone try BAM and go back to using Rompum

Zoopharm has it but you have to go through your vet to get it. There is a video on buck channel of it being used. 1cc per average doe 2cc for big body bucks is what I use. Bottle feds you can use less on bucks but I stick to 1cc on does

I have NEVER had a BAD experience using this cocktail.......EITHER!
Just cant justify switching to it

Bam has been incredible for us so far. Just worked on some fawns and was able to have 4 of them down and out with 0.2 cc of bam each in less than 10 minutes. They were back up and out of the building in 15 minutes after reversal.
If if was doing major surgery or collecting semen i would still use xylazine/telazol.

I Agree! Add the xylazine and you have about the same price. I guess it comes down to if its not broke dont fix it. Now that we reverse them asap instead of waiting the 45 minutes they come around alot cleaner and faster!

I too have no trouble with the Telazol/Xlazine with Tolozine as a reversal.
The only trouble I've ever had was when I tried to scrimp on the amount in order to save a dollar, but that was my fault, and I soon learned to give a little extra, instead of a little less.
