Hi everyone, I have a 5 month old fawn ( doe) I noticed a knot on the side of her neck. Been watching it for about 2 weeks. Tried searching the older posts, can up empty. It has gone down almost gone, but is now a little bigger. Really scratch and rubbed it. Did not feel an open spot like a bite or something. No limit in range of motion. Does not hurt. Any idea's? Thank you for any and all Input!! Eats great, runs, bucks, plays like normal. Just did not want to medicate if I did not need to.

I thought that. When should it go down and stay down? It went down almost completely, then it is coming back. Not as big though. And thank you for your reply!

are you giving any antibiotics , if it is coming back I would consider draining it before it gets really cold

I would but, it has gone away. If it comes back again, what would you do? Even though it was hard I was kind of afraid to drain it. Had one on a horse tried to drain it but nothing. It just made her very uncomfortable and a very long time to get near her afterwards.

Thank you Very much for your replies.

Could that have been a Large ringworm? I would run my fingernail trying to feel if there was an opening of any.

Is there something that I could give her that would not knock her out, just make her Not Care. :D then I could shave it and really look at it.

I found out that the knot on my does neck is from the IV that had to be placed for her survival. And she just had the cutest baby ****. Whom is spoiled ROTTEN! They are All so cute. :)
